Dawnielle Wright is a Junior at Pepperdine University double majoring in Sustainability and Political Science and minoring in rhetoric and leadership. She grew up in Santa Rosa, Ca where she learned of the goodness of God her junior year of high school. As a first generation college student and Christian, Dawnielle cares deeply about the intersection of climate change and Christianity on her college campus. She is the acting president of the Food Recovery Network to recover food waste from campus dining services to feed those experiencing homlessness. Additionally, Dawnielle works as the Sustainability intern for Pepperdine dining services in an effort to educate and make productive change with the campus population. She hopes to use her fellowship with YECA to promote climate change activism on Pepperdine’s campus in a way that shows Christians it is a scriptural truth to love God’s creation and our neighbors.
