King University

Nicola Robertson is a senior at King University, Bristol TN, where she is majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry and Mathematics. She grew up in Scotland and hopes to bring the sustainable lifestyle of Scotland to Eastern Tennessee.

Nicola is a member of the women in STEM club and is on the leadership team of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at King. She hopes to utilize her membership of these clubs to come together and make a positive impact on her campus by starting an eco friendly club on campus. Noticing the difference between environmental efforts in Scotland compared to Bristol, has encouraged her to educate the Bristol community about our impact on the environment and how to make positive changes to protect it. She feels called to connect her faith with the pressing scientific issue of climate change, something that affects underdeveloped areas of the world that, unfortunately, have no control of the matter. Knowing that she is making a positive impact on our neighbors, whom we are called to love, moves her. She hopes to start a movement on her campus and throughout the local community, with the hope of it pouring throughout the United States.
