My name is Tristy and I am a Junior at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington where I am majoring in Environmental Science and Theology. I spent my childhood exploring the mountains and deserts of Central Oregon and was left completely captured by the natural wonder and joy that they brought. It wasn’t until studying both science and theology in light of one another that I realized the deep passion I have always had for creation care and have since been committed to taking action against climate change. In search of greater involvement in the environmental world, I pursued YECAs fellowship program. My goal for the upcoming year through this fellowship is to create a conversation and build awareness about creation care and in turn mobilize the communities I am apart of to take action against climate change.
