Lauren Kim, National Organizer and SpokespersonLauren leads Young Evangelicals for Climate Action (YECA), the youth engagement arm of the Evangelical Environmental Network as the National Organizer and Spokesperson. Her scope of leadership covers representing the nationwide organization as well as mobilizing young Evangelicals around climate issues through programming and activist support. In this role she leads the day-to-day responsibilities of program management, nonprofit operations, strategy implementation, and navigating public relations.
As National Organizer, Lauren equips and educates YECA members, church staff, and Christian industry professionals to take climate action across campuses, local community groups, and religious institutions. She guides the managing officers, runs the leadership development programs, as well as mentor young adults in the network. In her Spokesperson capacity, she touches faith and secular audiences alike through speaking engagements and media appearances. Lauren speaks on behalf of YECA for testifying before the government, releasing official statements, and fielding press inquiries. Lauren’s message of faith-rooted climate activism is featured on various radio shows, podcasts, and news articles.
Lauren also sits on the advisory board of Christian Climate Observers Program (CCOP), an organization that equips young Christians to engage with international leaders & the Paris process at COP. There she develops directional strategy, supports outreach growth, and evaluates training for year-over-year improvements. She is a member of the American Scientific Affiliation, Climate Advocacy Lab, and is a Polaris Leader with Princeton Theological Seminary. Lauren attends an Evangelical Friends Church in New England.

Lindsay Garcia, Director of CommunicationsLindsay serves as the Director of Communications for Young Evangelicals for Climate Action (YECA) along with its parent ministry, the Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN). In this role, she supports the work of both ministries by overseeing external communications through outlets including social media, newsletters, blog posts, and more; collaborates closely with program staff to execute campaigns and events; and helps drive donor relations and fundraising. She also is an active member of YECA’s Steering Committee and regularly represents YECA at conferences and speaking engagements across the country.
Prior to her time at EEN and YECA, Lindsay discovered her passion for creation care and climate action while working as an interpretation ranger, and later a private guide, in Rocky Mountain National Park. She is excited to be a part of a ministry like YECA that integrates her Christian faith with the critical work of defending God’s creation–both in her home state of Colorado and around the world.

Jaime Butler, Communications AssociateJaime is the Communications Associate for Young Evangelicals for Climate Action (YECA) and its parent ministry, The Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN). Jaime graduated from Calvin University in 2023 with degrees in Strategic Communication, Literature, and Spanish. Her passion for storytelling and desire to actively live out her faith in Christ led her to a communications role at YECA and EEN, after interning for them as a college student.
Jaime supports the communications efforts of YECA by creating social media content, sending emails, managing the website, and assisting with program and advocacy promotion. Furthermore, Jaime serves as a member of the Steering Committee and has represented YECA on a number of occasions in the media, in congressional meetings, presenting at events, or speaking at hearings. Jaime is always excited to share YECA’s mission with new audiences and humbled to represent the many young evangelicals who yearn for bold and faithful climate action in our churches, communities, and government.
Jaime currently lives in Grand Rapids, MI and her favorite place to spend time outside is at Sunrise Lake in Northern Wisconsin.
