Requirements and Opportunities

Opportunities:

  • Have access to free, comprehensive training that covers the history of our movement, the science of climate change, the Christian case for action,  and the tools you’ll need to take action.
  • Find community in the broader YECA network
  • Connect with YECA’s amazing Senior Advisors and other national climate leaders
  • Be the first to know about new advocacy tools and opportunities.

Requirements:

This Fall, one of YECA’s top priorities is working to support the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA). The GAOA is a law that was signed into effect in 2020 to provide funding to maintain public lands as well as establish funds for land/water conservation and our National Parks. One aspect of the GAOA is The National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund (GAOA LRF), which funds maintenance projects, and expires this year. Lawmakers are currently working on reauthorizing the GAOA to extend beyond 2025 through the bipartisan America the Beautiful Act. YECA’s Summer of Action participants will be able to use their God given voices and talents to urge Congress to reauthorize the America the Beautiful Act and repair the National Parks and public lands we love.
