Climate Change 101

Since the industrial revolution, the western world has been consuming and producing at an alarming rate: more homes, more food, and faster methods of travel. While this rapid growth has produced some social good, scientists have learned that our ways of living are changing the climate at a rate that has not been previously seen. Through emissions from the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil, and gas), humans are on track to raise the overall global temperature at a scale that is catastrophic for plants, animals, and humans. The following resources dive deeper into the scientific consensus around climate change and how we can begin to address this issue.

Theology of Creation

As Christians, we believe the world belongs to God. We also believe that God loves creation, both human and non-human. If we believe that God created the world, and loves the world (John 3:16), it naturally follows that Christians ought to care for, protect, and steward that creation. Here are a handful of the many resources that have shaped our understanding of the doctrine of creation care.
