Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is the core leadership team for YECA and is responsible for developing and implementing our strategy and tactics. Each member brings strong leadership and organizing experience, along with a shared passion for following Jesus Christ and faithfully addressing the climate crisis.

National Organizer and Spokesperson
Lauren has been involved with YECA since 2019 as a project manager. Since then she has held various positions advocating for climate justice across the United States.

Isabel C. Vander Molen (She/her) is a Climate-Hunger Fellow at Bread for the World
Institute in Washington, D.C. -
Financial Secretary
Madeline Armstrong (she/her) is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Earth and Ecosystem Science at Central Michigan University. She served as a YECA Community Fellow in 2023-2024.

Communications Director
Lindsay began in October of 2021 as Communications Director for YECA and the Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN), YECA’s partner ministry. She also serves on YECA's steering committee.

Communications Associate
Jaime began in May of 2023 as the Communications Associate for YECA as well as their partner ministry the Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN).

Records Secretary
Chara recently graduated with a bachelor of science in biology from Gordon College with an emphasis on ecology and conservation and a minor in biblical studies.

Carolina França recently graduated with a B.S. in biology and a concentration in environmental science from Gordon College.

Shaphan is pursuing graduate studies at George Washington University, specializing in International Science and Technology Policy. He served as a YECA fellow in 2018-2019.

Samantha recently graduated with a degree in Environmental Science, Business, and Bible from the University of Northwestern, St. Paul.
