Activists & Organizations We Admire

Celebrating Youth Activists

We need everyone in order to sufficiently address the scale of the climate crisis. One group that has consistently been at the forefront of this movement is youth. Across the globe, young people have worked to create a more equitable society and sustainable way of living. Through expansive social media campaigns, vibrant communication, and impactful direct action, youth constantly remind the world that we will have to live in whatever world we create. This movement has done activism in a truly “grassroots” manner, centering those from marginalized communities as leaders and key voices. In the spirit of our Lord, may we learn from how youth around our country are mobilizing to act on climate change.

Organizations We Admire

We cannot fight the good fight alone. There are so many facets to climate action that we cannot possibly tackle them by ourselves. Thankfully, there are many impactful, dedicated, and passionate organizations that are meeting the climate crisis head on. These organizations reach different spheres, have developed a variety of specialties, and solve complex issues through unique leadership and wisdom.

Below we have listed nonprofits, fellowships, and other collectives whose work we deeply admire. Some resources are online publications that use academic inquisition to explore complex environmental issues. Others are Christian or interfaith organizations with a climate focus. These fellowships bring together like-minded individuals who are motivated by faith to pursue climate justice and embody James 2:26, which tells us to translate the meditations of our hearts into action: faith without works is dead. We encourage you to learn more about the important work these groups are doing!
