I am a junior at Calvin University studying Environmental Health and Conservation. I believe that, from the forests of Michigan to the green mountains of Taiwan where I grew up, learning the intricacies of creation as it sings praise leads us to worship our Creator. It is this delight in creation and awe of God that I hope to bring to others through my work in the long-term and even now as a YECA fellow. I am particularly passionate about food waste, waterway pollution, and habitat preservation and restoration, and I am excited to continue my work as a Food Recovery Network leader this year and tackle some of these issues in a more hands-on way. I believe that acting on environmental restoration is a crucial way of loving our community, and that no one has a more hopeful reason than Christians do for carrying out this work.
