Chara Larson

Chara Larson recently graduated with a B.S. in biology from Gordon College with an emphasis on ecology and conservation and a minor in biblical studies. Her passion for creation care stems from her lifelong love for nature and has been nurtured by professors at Gordon, Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies, and the Creation Care Study Program in New Zealand. Driven by the conviction that the flourishing of humankind is inseparable from that of nature, she is pursuing a career in environmental conservation and sustainability. Previously, Chara conducted research on waterfowl diving behavior in coastal Massachusetts and served on the animal care team at Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge. Chara was born and raised in Pennsylvania and currently resides in Rhode Island. She joined the YECA Steering Committee in 2026.

Chara fun fact: Chara holds her Commercial Pilot’s License and hopes to integrate aviation into her environmental career in the future.
