Are You Ready to Vote?
The U.S. Midterm Elections take place midway through the 4-year presidential term and will be held on November 3, 2026. This year all 435 district seats in the House of Representatives and 33 seats in the Senate are up for election. Depending on your state of residence, your ballot may also feature races for governor, state representatives, and other local officials, as well as ballot measures.
Primary elections are already underway in some states and will continue over the next several months. Find out here when your state’s primary elections will be held and go vote for who will be on your ballot in November!
At YECA, we want to ensure that young Christians across the country have the information and resources they need to get registered and vote with climate in mind. With your help, YECA reached thousands of young people during the 2024 election season. Now, we are gearing up to get out the vote for climate in the 2026 Midterm elections, and we want you to join us!
From now through Tuesday, November 3, we will be mobilizing young Christians to host tabling events to provide key voting resources and write op-eds and letters to the editor about the importance of voting with God’s creation, climate, and our neighbors' good at the forefront of our minds.
Voter Tools
At YECA, we often say that acting on climate is a way to faithfully love both God and our neighbors. This November, eligible U.S. voters have the opportunity to put this idea into practice by being climate voters! Check out our voting tools below to make sure your voice is heard in the 2026 midterm elections. Be sure to share this page with a friend to make sure your community is ready and informed come November.
Get Involved: Learn how to write an Op-Ed or Letter to the Editor
On Wednesday, August 19 YECA will be hosting a virtual writing training to help young Christians write for change! The midterm election season is the perfect time to write about how caring for creation and loving your neighbor motivates you to vote with climate in mind. By submitting your writing to your state, local, or school newspaper you’re letting candidates, political leaders, and your peers know that as a Christian you’re passionate about faithful climate action.
Join us on zoom for tips, insight, and personalized guidance from YECA Steering Committee and Staff on how to write and publish an effective and strategic Op-Ed or Letter to the Editor ahead of the important November midterm elections. With our voices working together, we can rally our generation and our fellow Christians to vote with climate in mind this fall!
Get Involved: Advocates Tabling Toolkit
If you’d like to dive deeper into voter engagement and join us in getting out the vote for climate, consider becoming a YECA Advocate! This fall, our Advocates will be tabling on campuses and in communities to spread the word about our Love God, Love Your Neighbor, Vote for Climate Campaign.
Members of our Advocates Program will have access to our Voter Engagement Tabling Toolkit. This toolkit includes faith and climate talking points, flyers featuring our voter tools, and resources for educating your community about the importance of voting with climate in mind!
