Madeline Armstrong

Madeline Armstrong (she/her) is a Ph.D. candidate in Earth and Ecosystem Science at Central Michigan University and currently leads the education department for a nonprofit in Downeast Maine. Growing up in the scenic landscapes of Maine, she developed a deep connection to the natural world, where she found a profound sense of peace and joy in praising God through nature’s beauty and complexity. Maddie holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and Small Vessel Operations from Maine Maritime Academy, where she was honored with the Spill Control Association of America’s Environmental Excellence Award. After graduation, she served with the Maine Conservation Corps, advancing access to science for marginalized communities. As both a Yale School of the Environment Environmental Fellow and a YECA Community Fellow, she deepened her commitment to equality, inclusion, and environmental justice, striving to ensure that all voices are heard at the same volume.
